Petrochemical industry an axis for Iran’s development

Masjed Soleiman, Khuzestan Prov., Jan 12, IRNA – Deputy Managing Director of the National Petrochemical Industries Company (NPIC) Mohamamd Hassan Peyvandi said petrochemical industry will become the gravity center of the economy and an axis for development.
  Speaking in a ceremony for transferring Masjed Soleiman Petrochemical Complex site to the Chinese contractor, Peyvandi said usually projects are commenced in the country in the absence of funding and planning but Masjed Soleiman Petrochemical Complex has been implemented after financing.
Referring to the role Masjed Soleiman has played in the history of Iran’s oil industry he said the biggest oil museum of the country is expected to be constructed in this region.

As for the role of petrochemical industry in different other industries, Peyvandi said there is no industry in the world that is not somehow connected to the petrochemical industry.

He said today basic human needs in the field of industry, foodstuffs, clothing, housing and security are maintained through petrochemical industry.

Stressing that the National Petrochemical Industries Company has no presence in Masjed Soleiman petrochemical plan he said with regard to the investments made in this project the company considers itself responsible in protecting national interests.
