Iran schedules presidential elections for June 2013

Iranian Flag_550x300Iran has scheduled its eleventh presidential elections for June 14, 2013, Press TV channel said citing Iran's Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar.



The elections will be held simultaneously with the city council elections.

The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term and candidates can serve two terms only.

Iran’s supreme leader is elected once and for life. Currently it’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
