Pakistan president’s visit to Iran not cancelled: FO Spokesman

478222-zardaricopy-1355230222-770-640x480Foreign Office (FO) spokesman said that the scheduled Iran visit of President Asif Zardari was not cancelled due to any pressure.
Speaking at a weekly briefing at the Foreign Office  on Thursday, the Spokesman said the president will visit Iran soon to hold important talks with his Iranian counterpart.

Mutually convenient dates are being worked out between Pakistan and Iran on President Zardari's visit to Tehran, the spokesperson said.

Regarding Iran Pakistan gas pipeline he said that the construction of pipeline would benefit both the countries.

Responding to a question on the allegations of President Karzai that attack on Afghan Intelligence Chief was planned in Pakistan the spokesperson said Pakistan will welcome if Afghanistan shares any evidence regarding the attack on its Intelligence Chief.

Pakistan will not allow anyone to use its territory against any other country, the spokesman said.

To a question about the remarks of American Ambassador Richard Olson that coalition forces will take action against Moulvi Fazlullah if Pakistan provides information about him.

The Spokesman said dossier about Fazlullah have been shared with ISAF and Afghanistan.

He expressed the hope that they would take action against the militant leader.

To a question‚ he said keeping in view of law and order situation in Syria Pakistan has called back its diplomatic staff from that country‚ however it has not closed its embassy.

He said Pakistan is constantly watching situation in Syria and has serious concern over it.
