Iran, US 3-hour talks end

16 Dec 2014 - 17:58

TEHRAN, Dec. 16 (MNA) – Geneva hosts the fresh round of Iran nuclear talks where Iran’s negotiators have bilaterally talked to their US counterparts.

The second round of Iran-US bilateral meeting was held in Geneva on 10:30 AM local time and lasted for 3 hours. The evening session will be on 15:30 local time, which is speculated to be the last such bilateral meeting of Iran and US.

Both countries’ deputy-ministers sat in a 9-hour meeting on Monday. Iran’s negotiators will also meet French negotiators on 19 hours local time. Wednesday will see official Iran and the 5+1 meeting minus Mohammad Javad Zarif and Catherine Ashton. This meeting will be the first session after Geneva deal was extended for 7 months.

With Zarif and Ashton absent from meeting, serious political level decisions would be highly unlikely to be taken in attempts to bring some of the most disputed issues to the fore.
