Kermanshah petchem plant set to produce urea fertilizer

TEHRAN Dec 15 (Shana)--Kermanshah Petrochemical Plant is expected to produce 2,000 tons a day of urea fertilizer and 1,200 tons a day of ammoniac following its second phase of development, the plant’s manager said.
Amad-Reza Ashtari said the second phase of development is estimated to cost 350 million euros.
He said that a Dutch company will help build the granulation unit of the second phase of Kermanshah plant.
Ashtari said the project is 4.17% percent complete, behind the planned 6.06%.
He added that the first phase of the plant became operational by a German company.
