9 Dec 2014 - 10:48

AHVAZ, Dec. 08 (MNA) – A Khouzestan oil industry specialist exhibition has unveiled a multi-purpose timer and power supply unit.
The unit is a product of Iran Pirahafari Company, a subsidiary of Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC). It has applications in Coiled Tubing Units (CTU). NISOC managing director Abdolmahdi Mojtahedi told reporters on Monday morning that power pack unit was an important component of CTU; “currently, the company uses six such CTUs; company experts have designed the new power pack unit to make it capable of working with different CTUs,” he added.

“A property of the power pack unit is in-operation integration to the CTU, which provides the unit with the advantage of removing any technical glitches during repair and maintenance of the oil wells,” Mojtahedi told reporters.

Commenting on the other advantages of the power pack unit, Mojtahedi said that the unit was an important component in coiled tube transfer without any further need to CTU; “$147,000 has been spent in the indigenous model design and manufacture, while the imported foreign model with the same properties and quality would cost $500,000,” he added.

Iran Pirahafari provides technical services to oil companies including Iranian Central Oil Fields Company. The exhibition is open Dec. 6-9 in Ahvaz International Permanent Fairground.
