A frontline commander of the ISIL Takfiri group has reportedly been killed in a roadside bomb attack outside the Iraqi city of Mosul.
According to an Iraqi source, who spoke on condition of anonymity from inside the city, Abu Abdullah Kosovoi was killed near the Tal Afar airport when two bombs hit his convoy.

“The convoy of six vehicles was on its way to Khalid army base when it was hit by two bombs near Ayn Jahish,” the source said.

Members of Mosul Brigades, a local resistance group, also managed to kill two ISIL Takfiri militants near the Iraqi town of Bartella, Ismat Rajab, a Kurdish official in the area, said.

The ISIL launched an offensive in Iraq in June and took control of the country’s second largest city, Mosul, before sweeping through parts of the country’s Sunni Arab heartland.

The Takfiri militants have been carrying out horrific acts of violence, including public decapitations and crucifixions, against all Syrian and Iraqi communities such as Shias, Sunnis, Kurds and Christians.

Senior Iraqi officials have repeatedly blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some other Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.
