Industries minister encourages German firms to invest in Iran

Tehran, Dec 6, IRNA – In a meeting with a high ranking German economic delegation, Iranian industries, mines and trade minister said that the German investors should use the emerged opportunity for making investments in Iran.
  The German delegation visiting Iran is comprised of major German companies’ managers involved in energy, oil and gas, industries, car manufacturing, information technology and dam construction fields.
“The German companies should not be absent in world countries’ transactions with Iran, or wait for lifting of the sanctions for getting involved in making investments here,” said Mohammad Reza Ne’matzadeh.

He said that presently the atmosphere is quite favorable for working with Iran and making investments here as the country’s economic and trade potentials have not been well exploited.

“Keeping in mind the existing potentials both in Iran and in Germany, evermore expansion of commercial, industrial and mineral relations and lifting the existing obstacles due to the sanctions in banking field are of significant importance,” reiterated the Iranian minister.

Announcing Iran’s readiness for expansion of comprehensive cooperation in economic field, he said that the two countries’ trade volume is too low considering the existing potentials and can increase drastically to serve both nations’ interests.

The German economic delegation is comprised of 36 managing directors of that country’s major companies.
