Warsaw holding Iranian film week

Tehran, Nov 27, IRNA – Poland is hosting the 4th Iranian Film Week in the capital city of Warsaw.
The film week will start today and end on Nov. 29, in Warsaw’s Praha cinema, with an aim of boosting cultural and cinematic ties and since the previous film weeks were welcomed warmly.

The event is organized by Iran’s Visual Media Institute and the country’s embassy in Poland.

Iranian films including ‘A Separation’, ‘I Am His Wife’, ‘Here Without Me, ‘Mr. Yousef’, ‘The Sinners’ and ‘So Close, So Far’ will be screened during the cultural week.

Iran and Poland have long had cultural and political relations. Polish Deputy Culture Minister Monica Smullen and Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham met early November.

Referring to issues of mutual interest for promoting cultural cooperation in the fields of cinema, TV and theater, the Polish official described the nation's interest in the Iranian culture and Persian language as suitable ground for enhancing cultural collaboration.

Afkham also welcomed expansion of cooperation in all the arenas.
