The concert will be attended by Pak and Lebanese maddahs Afzal Imani and Qasem Bastam who will recite elegies for Imam Hussein (AS) and his loyal companions.
Maddah is a person who recites the elegies.

The concert will be attended by the ambassadors of Muslim countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Tajikistan and India in which their rituals for Ashura will be introduced as well.

The event in planned to be held in Milad Tower’s conference’s center and its entrance will be free for the public.

In other news, acclaimed Iranian composer and conductor Shahrdad Rohani had said he plans to compose an orchestral piece on Ashura tragedy.

The Day of Ashura is on the tenth day of the lunar month of Muharram when Imam Hussein (AS) and his loyal companions were martyred in the plains of Karbala in modern Iraq.'I never thought about composing a piece based on Ashura music roots and the household of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and to perform it with a symphony orchestra,' Rohani had said.

'Of course, producing such a piece is a great responsibility for me. On the one hand, it requires peace of mind and on the other it is not easy to portray such a tragedy through music.'

The musician hoped he will create the work in the near future.
