Famous translator Daryabandari hospitalized

TEHRAN, Nov. 15 (MNA) – Iranian famous translator has been reportedly hospitalized for cerebral complications on Wednesday.
Najaf Daryabandari has now reportedly stable conditions. Ali Dehbashi, writer and Bokhara literary magazine managing director told Mehr News on Saturday that Mr. Daryabandari had recovered ‘significantly,’ and was transferred to Iranmehr hospital general ward. Mr. Dehbashi also told that the physicians predicted to discharge Mr. Daryabandari from hospital after some ‘medical care practices’ within few days.


On Thursday, Najaf Daryabandari was hospitalized in hospital for the second time in the intensive care unit.


Born in 1929, Daryabandari has in his career translation of world famous literature including The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway, The Mysterious Stranger and Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, The Prophet by Gibran Khalil Gibran, Ragtime and Billy Bathgate by E. L. Doctorow.
