Serbia offering more Persian language, literature courses

Belgrade, Nov 14, IRNA – International Affairs Deputy of Serbia’s Megatrend University in a meeting here Friday with Iranian Embassy’s cultural attaché welcomed his proposal for establishment of a Faculty of Persian Language and Literature.
  According to the IRNA correspondent in Serbia, Anna Juansi in her meeting with Mohammad Shalou’ie said that she was glad with Megatrend University’s cultural cooperation with the Iranian universities and scientific centers.
She also appreciated the Iranian cultural attaché for the Iranian Embassy’s promised contributions to the establishment of the new Faculty of Persian Language and Literature in Megatrend University, which she said is the largest private university of Serbia, scientifically cooperating with 43 reputable universities around the globe.

Ms. Juasnsi also referred to the great enthusiasm of the Serbian people for learning the Persian language and literature, arguing that cooperation between the Iranian cultural attaché and the Serbian university will play a very important role in proximity of the two nations.

The Iranian diplomat, too, in the meeting at Megatrend University appreciated that university’s top officials’ good cooperation aimed at establishing the Faculty of Persian Language and Literature, which he said showed their enthusiasm in the ancient Persian culture and civilization.

Shalou’ie also referred to offering Persian Language and Literature course at the Iranian Cultural Department in Belgrade and higher education center in Serbia, such as the Belgrade State University, the Novi Sad University, the Belgrade Tourism College, and some Belgrade high schools as some of the most important activities of the Iranian cultural attaché.
