Iranian athlete bags gold in Asian Para Games

Incheon, Oct 21, IRNA - An Iranian athlete snatched a gold medal in disc throwing men's competition in the 2014 Asian Para Games at Incheon, South Korea, Tuesday.


 
Younes Seifipour won the first title with a 6.85-meter throw Class F32 competition.


The Kuwaiti and South Korean athletes ranked second and third respectively.

Iranians have gained 23 medals in the second day of 2014 Asian Para Games in Incheon, including three golds in athletics, weightlifting, and shooting.

The number of Iranian medals reached a total of 42, which puts the country in the fifth spots below China, South Korea, Japan, and Uzbekistan with 115, 54, 52, and 15 medals, respectively.

About 4,500 athletes from 41 countries are competing in this round of the tourney also known as the Second Asian Para Games. In this round, 203 athletes from Iran are competing in 16 fields.
