16 Oct 2014 - 0:37

Ardebil, Oct 15, IRNA – Security conditions of Iranian borders is currently very fine, especially due to constant monitoring of western borders, and also because of the internal developments in Iraq we face no problem, Iran’s interior minister said here Wednesday.
“Along the eastern borders, too, due to the lack of supervision on the part of Pakistan and Afghanistan every once in a while we are faced with the nuisance of hooligans, although those moves are insignificant from the security point of the view,” said Abdol-Reza Rahmani-Fazli during his visit to Ardebil province’s Meshkin Shar border region.
The interior minister also informed that his affiliated ministry intends to construct an access and control border in collaboration with the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) along the Iranian eastern borders within the next couple of months.

“After the completion of that road and using it the degree of safeguarding and supervision over the eastern borders, too, will improve satisfactorily,” he added.

The interior minister considered the Ardebil province borders among the county’s most reliable and secure borders and promised that since the Azeri side has announced its agreement, the Qanli Bulaq international border’s customs office will be established.

Meshkin Shar (City) is located 85 kilometers to the northwest of the provincial capital city, Ardebil.
