TEHRAN Oct 14 (Shana)--President Hassan Rouhani has boasted that Iran�s oil sector got out of stagnation several months after he took office in August 2013.
�The first sector which got out of stagnation last winter was oil. Oil exports have grown 13.7 percent,� he said in a prime-time televised interview.

Rouhani said Iran�s gas production is to increase by more than 100 mcm/d this calendar year to March 2015.

The president said Iran�s economy shrank by 6.8 and 2.9 percent in the previous two calendar years.

Never had Iran experienced such a stagflation since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, said Rouhani.

The president said Iran has also registered growth in the tourism, industry and mining, car manufacturing and agriculture sectors.�
