Kidnapped tradesman in Afghanistan released in Iran

TEHRAN (FNA)- Khorassan Razavi provincial police troops in cooperation with Interpol released an Iranian tradesman who was kidnapped in Afghanistan a while ago.
Commander of the Provincial Police Brigadier General Bahman Amiri Moqaddam said on Tuesday that the foodstuffs tradesman had travelled to Afghanistan to conclude trade deals with his Afghan counterparts when he was abducted.

He went on to say that the Police inspectors informed the Interpol and the Foreign Ministry over the Iranian national's abduction.

Amiri Moqaddam added that on the order of police, the abducted man's family deposited a sum of money to the abductors' account and they released their hostage in exchange.

He said as soon as the abductors released the Iranian national, police got their account closed immediately.

Amiri Moqaddam said that the abductors fled away with no cash.
