Half of Abadan Petrochemical Complex products exported

Tehran, Sept 28, IRNA – Half of the products by Abadan Petrochemical Complex in summer months was exported abroad, an official said.
Managing Director of the complex Alireza Seddiqizadeh told reporters here that the complex mainly produces 110,000 tons of PVC, 30,000 tons of caustic soda and 15,000 tons of DDP per annum.
He noted that Abadan Petrochemical Complex is using only 70 percent of its production capacity.

The official said the main problem the facility faced was shortage of gas to be provided by Abadan Refinery.

According to the official, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Armenia and the Persian Gulf states are the main customers of the company's petrochemical products.
