Tehran, Aug 5, IRNA - Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani here on Tuesday termed unity as Muslims? most important principle.
He made the remarks in a gathering attended by several Iranian Sunni religious, political and cultural figures.
He condemned any move to sow discord among Muslims and called on world Muslims to consolidate their unity.

Referring to the current developments in the occupied Palestine and the Zionist regime?s atrocities in Gaza, he warned the Islamic countries against fanning the flames of sectarian conflicts.

Hashemi Rafsanjani further condemned the US President Barak Obama for his support for the Zionist regime?s savage attacks on defenseless Palestinians in Gaza.
