Science minister urges UNESCO to support innocent Gazans

Tehran, Aug 4, IRNA - Minister of science, research and technology on Monday called on the international community to support defenseless Gaza people.
Reza Faraji Dana in separate letters to his counterparts in Non Aligned Movement (NAM) and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as well as the Director-General of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Irina Bokova called for condemnation of Zionist regime attacks on Gaza.
Condemning the massacre of children and women in Gaza, he criticized the international bodies? silence towards violation of human rights in the war-torn region.

The international community should condemn siege of Gaza and disproportionate attacks against civilians in the region, Faraji Dana added.

The Zionist regime has launched large-scale offensive on the Gaza Strip since July 8 targeting civilians, health centers and schools from the air, land and the sea killing over 1,700 Palestinians and injuring several thousands.
