Iran’s incoming envoy to UN starts his mission

Iran’s incoming envoy to UN, Gholam-Ali Khoshrou, has started his mission at this international organization.
Iran’s incoming envoy to UN, upon his arrival in the US on Sunday, in an interview with IRIB reporter in New York said given the wide scope of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s power, several roles have been delegated to Iran at the UN, which should be implemented in an appropriate manner.
He emphasized the need to stand up against extremism and violence, and negate Iranophobia and Islamophobia plots, while adding that all means, especially the UN capacity should be put to use to reinforce peace and security in the region and the world and to remove the illegal sanctions imposed on Islamic Republic of Iran.
He expressed hope to materialize the goals of Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iran’s incoming envoy to UN is scheduled to hand over his credentials to UN Chief, Ban Ki-Moon, on Tuesday afternoon.
