Erdogan dreams neo-Ottoman empire

22 Apr 2016 - 20:27

Tehran, April 20, The Iran Project - Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has already dreamed of reviving the neo-Ottoman empire, but no one took it seriously until he officially welcomed Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas along with 16 warriors each representing one of the 16 empires of Turkish history.

It is said that Erdogan is scheming to change the power structure in Ankara and remove the post of prime minister. Then, he as president, would fully take the control of the country.By this move, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu would be removed of Turkey’s power structure.

It is also said that in the last two months, several meetings are held regularly at the presidential palace on how to remove Turkish Prime Minister. In the meetings where at least two of Erdogan’s consultants were present, Davutoglu asked to voluntarily leave the power to lessen the tension of his removal. Also, Media, TV, newspapers, magazines, social networks, etc. have been largely prepared for his removal.

Reconstruction of the presidential palace at a cost of some $350m, presence of warriors from different ethnic groups of the Ottoman Empire in the official welcome ceremony and supporting lecturers like Harun Yahya who defends the Ottoman Empire indicate Erdogan’s serious decision to re-establish the neo-Ottoman Empire.

It should be noted that before Erdogan came to power, presidency was ceremonial, but after making some changes in the country’s constitution, it turned to an executive position.

Erdogan's critics believe that he is seeking to change Turkey’s power structure to permanently stabilize his presidential position and actualize his dream of forming the neo-Ottoman empire.

Before officially announcing his empire, Erdogan has embarked on territorial expansion by encroaching into Iraq and Syria.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is trying to reabsorb much of Iraq and Syria into a neo-Ottoman empire, using ISIS jihadists as his unwitting tools to accomplish his goal.

But are the Turkish nation and the country’s allies, especially Europe Union, really ready for the emergence of a new Sultan, the Sultan Erdogan the first? It will be clear in the future.
